How it works

In this experience, we ask teams to construct a personalised zone of a model city. The teams must then collaborate to develop a plan for the entire city. This plan must create uniformity of design across all the zones and ensure that roads and rivers flow coherently with adjacent sections. Given a wide range of materials, the aim is to build an imaginative and creative city that is functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Teams work to develop a 'common vision' and a shared strategy before they put it into place, with the help of their other participants. Each participant must apply creativity and excellent project management skills.

Working towards a common goal for fun is a highly motivating way to get teams thinking afresh about resource and time management in their day-to-day business lives.

Learning Outcomes

Creativity

Flexing your creative muscles is an ingeniously fun way of improving your problem-solving skills. These skills can make a big difference to how teams approach their day to day, back in the workplace. Our creative experiences allow participants to explore within themselves and collaboratively as teams. Ultimately, these experiences are massively rewarding.

Collaboration

Improving collaboration across a team is probably the number one way we can help to improve a team’s performance. If you don’t communicate, you can’t collaborate. We start with communication and get it flowing, then get everyone working together. We have found that creating long-term change in the way teams collaborate can be as simple as getting them into a creative frame of mind. Whether the team task is to work together or compete is up to you.

Leadership

Our experiences to identify and bring out leadership qualities revolve around either creative and collaborative practices or competitive challenges. These tried and tested techniques delve deep into team dynamics and how individuals respond to them. We have also developed a core set of highly effective interactive business games. Our interactive games mimic real-world scenarios but with a bit of fun thrown in for good measure.
