The Scotsman Hotel

Five star boutique hotel The Scotsman, is housed within the magnificent Scotsman Newspaper building. Here at The Scotsman Hotel we have eight function and conference rooms available for hire. Book your one to one meetings in our original Scotsman Boardroom or host 100 guests for a drinks reception in our stunning Maclaren Suite.
While the newspaper has long since moved out, the buildings restoration was careful not to eradicate the stunning wooden paneled reception room that is now the bar and brasserie which serves the Edinburgh elite.

The Scotsman Hotel

Located on the city's historic North Bridge, the Scotsman was converted from the Scotsman Newspaper's baronial offices into one of the most stylish five-star luxury boutique hotels in Edinburgh.
Voted one of the top hotels in the world by both Condé Nast Traveller and Departures Magazine in 2002. In 2003 won AA Hotel of the Year, Escape Gym named one of the ‘Top 10 Day Spas in the UK' by Condé Nast Traveller in 2004 and in the same year Tatler Magazine named the hotel one of the ‘Top 20 in the UK'.
In December 2007 Condé Nast Traveller readers named The Scotsman as one of the top 20 hotels in the UK for business. With 12 different possible combinations, the events facilities at The Scotsman Hotel provide many different options for any event of any size: from private dining to corporate events; weddings and civil ceremonies; birthday parties and anniversaries; conferences, exhibitions and product launches... as well as training sessions, seminars and a range of other events.
