Create a group masterpiece of epic proportions and build a stronger, more effective team in the process.

Teams must collaborate together to create an enormous multi-canvas product with your very own bespoke image on - culminating in The Big Picture. Whether it be a company logo, business symbol or motivational phrase, the final result can only be achieved through a unified group effort; perfect for improving communication and project planning skills.

How It Works

In the Big Picture, participants are split into teams, handed a canvas and asked to create a predefined painting of a motivational phrase, key business logo or similar image. The only catch is that each team’s canvas will be combined at the end of the event, meaning that each team must collaborate with the wider group to only paint their section of the overall image.

Utilising a design information sheet, teams must paint their canvas using the same brush strokes, painted areas and style as the other team canvases they will be connecting to. This quickly becomes a demanding mix of communicative challenge and accurate instruction, as teams must explain what they are doing to each other accurately and translate that into physical action.

Once time is up, participants leave the area as the final combined canvas is constructed. Then, with a countdown from the participants, the final Big Picture is revealed and lasts as a tangible display of team communication and unity!

Rewards and Learning Outcomes

At Team Challenge Company, we ensure that all our team building events are results-driven and built around improving specific staff skills which translate effectively into the workplace. In the Big Picture, these learning outcomes are extensive and can make a serious tangible difference both in and outside of the office.

As an entirely collaborative event, one of the Big Picture’s most effective results is in the sense of group success that it creates. An effective team is not just dependent on individual skill, it is reliant on a group mentality through which everyone shares both failure and success; the Big Picture is perfect for encouraging this.

Building on this, the communication required to complete the event effectively is invaluable. The collaborative aspect of the Big Picture is multi-layered, requiring inter-individual communication within each team, as well as inter-departmental communication between the teams. Information must be relayed correctly at every level of the process from the overall planning through to the individual paint strokes used on canvas. The challenges of this top-bottom communication have countless parallels with the challenges that many business hierarchies face and through the Big Picture, staff become much more accustomed with how to approach this style of collaboration.
