What a wonderful Highland Hospitality day in Scotland it was as we worked with VisitAberdeen at the stunning Mercure Ardoe House Hotel.
The group of 200 people from EiensdomsMegler1, who happily travelled all the way from Norway, were treated to a true Taste of Scotland to enjoy not only the beautiful scenery of Scotland but also an afternoon full of classic, hilarious and competitive Scottish Highland Games.

VisitAberdeen envisioned a wonderful afternoon full of Scottish fun and competition and Team Challenge Company rose to the challenge, bringing along some of our more traditional games with a little modern twist! We explored old Scottish hunting with our teams going head to head at archery, followed by a more modern take on the hunt with our Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting activity.
Teams also enjoyed a flavour of The Games including Toss the Caber, Haggis Hurling and Welly Fling. VisitAberdeen definitely made the right choice of including the gentle art of Fly Fishing into the mix, a great Scottish pastime and challenging task, with a bit of our exclusive Hey you Jimmy assault course thrown in there for good measure- just look at those photos! After everyone had made an attempt at throwing the Hay Bale over the bar, we ended with a good old fashioned Tug of War to really settle the scores and sort the wheat from the chaff.
All in all the day was a great success with VisitAberdeen organising great entertainment for a very active Norwegian crowd. Our Team Challenge Company Trophy went to the team with most points across all activities and our last place finishers walked away with not just the wooden spoon but with a smile. Thank you to VisitAberdeen for putting together such a great afternoon at Mercure House Hotel. We hope to see you all again soon!
