Team Challenge Company once again embarked on a highly successful road trip this week. One of the most famous cities in the world was the destination, London. The Trailfinders Rugby and Sports Club played marvellous host to, what was to date, one of our biggest family barbecues of the year.

Following a year of exceptional success construction giants Brookfield Multiplex hosted their annual staff summer festival. This is an important event in their employee social calendar and helps them keep a real family culture within their fast growing business.

Over 400 employees, their family and friends enjoyed a wide variety of scintillating games and activities throughout the afternoon. The expansive field was utilised magnificently as the day boasted an Inflatable and Target Zone, as well as a racing section and indoor fun.

The Crazy Longest Putting range was swamped with budding golf enthusiasts, all attempting to tackle the slopes and contours of the tricky Himalayan style course. The aroma of fresh, warm popcorn filled the air as the BBQ got into full swing. The kids eager to munch through their sumptuous main courses to get to the sweet treats! The Candy Cart also lay in wait for those with a sweet tooth, unlimited candy! The main arena had something for everyone. The small kids enjoyed our exciting Undersea Adventure and Ball Pools as well as the largest inflatable in town, Denver’s Den! The slide was inundated all day with joyous, exuberant families. Bungee Trampoline’s hosted both jack in the box children and some competitive adults as they went wild!

As we hit the mid-way point the Archery competition revealed a competitive edge to proceedings as youthful Oliver marched into the adult final with some commanding displays. He fell just short though as Doug pushed on to grab the trophy at the death. He fought off twenty budding competitors for the acclaim. The Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting competition followed soon after. The speed shot suited the fastest finger as Louie fought off stiff competition, mostly from his girlfriend, to go home happy! Well done to him.

As the Quads continued to race round and the Assault Course settled some family feuds, the day began to come to a close. The Bucking Bronco was still spinning off the riders and the Human Demolition knocking down the biggest of parents as we came to a close.

A fantastic fun filled afternoon with some lovely people. So many highlights from what will soon become a yearly occurrence. See you all next year!

What a great afternoon! It was lovely to see so many people get into the spirit of the day and get involved in all of our activities. I still haven't recovered from my bout on the Sumos with Brian! I look forward to when our paths cross again!
