The sound of helicopters was what welcomed the guests from CHC Helicopters to the magnificent Mercure Ardoe House Hotel for their corporate fun day with Team Challenge Company. As the two incredible aircraft's touched down it was to awed wonder from the guests as the activities were opened in style as the children and adults arrived to the Inflatable Zone on the top lawn to enjoy our Bucking Bronco, Bouncy Castle and Bungee Basketball. The bottom lawn played host to our Target Zone with Archery, Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting and Quad Biking being the stars of the show, especially for Neil who has asked Santa for a Quad Bike in his stocking this year!

The first competition of the afternoon took place on the Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting with our round robin competition seeing many good (and not so good!) shots and culminating in Steph’s magical final shot leading her to claim the Team Challenge Company Winner’s Trophy – much to her own surprise! Next up was the archery competition where our search for Robin Hood lead us to crown Ian with the champions medal after a long series of competitive rounds. Following a sumptuous BBQ lunch it was time to crown more winners – this time with sweetie prizes for those taking part in our children’s and adult’s races.

The kids had clearly been practicing hard for all of the heats, in particular the egg and spoon race saw some serious competition amongst all ages much to the delight of the spectating parents. They didn’t get to watch for long though as it was time for the adults to step up and join us for some very special races of their own! The gents had an excellent run in the sack race with only one or two taking a fall- all in good spirits of course. Angela and Steph went head to head on the Space Hopper Dash and for the second time in the day Steph came out on top! The grand finale of the afternoon saw us wave goodbye to the visiting aircraft as we watched them take off to the skies. A huge thank you to Angela, Lorraine and the rest of the team including the two wonderful pilots for making the day possible. It was a pleasure to work with you all and we certainly look forward to the next time we meet.

What a fantastic day! I still haven't gotten over my excitement at seeing the helicopters land and being part of such a special day for the team. It was an absolute pleasure to meet Angela and her family, as well as all the other guests that made the afternoon such fun! I already look forward to meeting you all again.
