The St James’s Place Foundation teams were hyped up and raring to enjoy an incredible evening at Aberdeen Cricket Club on our high-energy, fun filled Corporate Interactive Race Night and we kicked off with Higher or Lower to start the charity fund raising ball rolling - Hollie was a worthy winner – she certainly does know her music! . With over 60 guests the atmosphere was electric, and though it may have been a noisy start, the crowd settled themselves and got into the interactive action there was no stopping them as the big money bets flew thick and fast as the horses lined up in Big screen action.

With 6 specially themed sponsors tables competing, it was game on from the off with  reserved in the first of the Race Night races when it came to placing their bets looking round at the runners and riders, but after a big windfall by one of the teams the bookie had to employ a bodyguard! The bets came fast and furious throughout the evening with Shonagh the unluckiest gambler in the room - but who's counting, you’ll just have to wait for those new shoes ! We threw in another crowd pleaser – Roll and In on the dance floor just look at the faces from the photos and you can see who the winners were here !

The final event on the Race Night agenda was the ladies race, always a crazy source of fun and laughter and it was sure not to disappoint, and our final race which was our Ladies Day race. This saw a hilarious parade of our eight gorgeous lady jockeys and their prize horses before we auctioned off the eight horses in the race. The "ladies" picked their thoroughbreds and off they went galloping their way to victory...I think all those involved in these “beautifully choreographed” dances deserved to be the winner!

With lots of high end bids coming in for all horses it was all to play for and eyes down as the winner was revealed and  our owner collected an impressive bundle which he very kindly put back into the charity pot! After our final payout from the bookie it was time to say goodbye after a fantastic Race Night. It was an absolute pleasure to host you all and make a whopping £3000 for the Foundation. What a difference that will make so well done to everyone who so generously contributed on the evening, including the fabulous raffle prizes that made the event so very special. We would like to thank Alastair, Natalie and Jackie  from St James’s Place for all their efforts on such a great fund raising evening, and all their sponsors on the night, it is always a pleasure working with you and your team and we look forward to your next rematch event later in the year - Bring on Bond !

What a truly fantastic evening. An astonishing amount of money raised and some memorable laughs along the way. In most circumstances the house always wins, it was generosity and human nature that won tonight though. Well done everyone
