Team Challenge Company had the pleasure of hosting a day of Team Building activities in the grounds of Inverhouse Distillers for 120 delegates from International Beverage.

The day was split into three parts, with the teams playing for the chance to win overnight stays, a trip to Thailand - and, of course, the Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy!

The first of the day’s activities came in the form of International Beverage’s NPD Task in which the 14 teams were each given the opportunity to come up with a new spirit brand. The task was split into three phases: Phase 1 – Product Conception & Design, Phase 2 – Product Creation and Phase 3 – Presentation. During Phase 1, the teams were asked to come up with and identify the brand name and strapline of their spirit, as well as a logo, product category, taste profile, and unique selling points.

Once Phase 1 was complete, it was time to move onto the Product Creation stage! The teams were given a range of materials from bottles, liquids, paints, pens, pipe cleaners and even food colourings and were asked to explore their ideas. Each design had to have an actual bottle for the product, a fully deigned label, a tent card with the product name and three USPs on it and a summary of the product’s story. Phase 3 consisted of the final presentations from the teams, where they presented their final product design and all of the relevant information about their spirit and brand to be scored by the judges. The teams also had the chance to vote for the drink they believed to be the best designed, and the most developed and potentially successful concept. There were many fantastic ideas shown throughout the presentation but our winners of the task, with 410 points and excelling with their packaging and logo, was The All Stars!

The next part of the day for the International Beverage group was the Interactive GPS Treasure Hunt, in which the teams explored the grounds of Inverhouse Distillers and completed the various checkpoints – from general knowledge questions to video tasks! The Team Challenge Company team loved seeing all the videos come in back at our Treasure Hunt HQ – one of our favourites of the day had to be Tim from Team Sclochd’s enthusiastic rendition of Britney Spears’ Oops I Did It Again... Britney herself couldn’t do better! The winners of the GPS Treasure Hunt – already confident they would – were team We’re Winning This!

The teams took a well deserved break and enjoyed a BBQ lunch before readying themselves for our It’s A Knockout style activities in the third instalment of their day. The teams went head to head on our competitive and challenging activities – from Human Demolition to Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting – the teams competed in a bid to win the most points and ultimately the Team Challenge Company Winner’s Trophy! We had an impressive show from Craig who managed to stay on the bucking bronco for the longest time of the day – 52 seconds! Even more impressive was team Slochd lucky streak – managing to win on almost every activity... they only need to work on their target paintball skills!

Once the teams had finished their rotations on the It’s a Knockout challenge, it was time to add up our scores and give the final presentation of the Winner’s Trophy and Losing Wooden Spoon! The results were in and everyone was eager to find out the scores – coming in at last place with a respectable 5850 points was team Aurora! In third place, with 6500 points was team Biatas – missing out on second place by only 90 points. Second place spot was taken by the confident team We’re Winning This. Taking home the Team Challenge Company Winner’s Trophy, that first place spot and ultimate bragging rights was... team Sclochd!

Well done to all who took part, it was a fantastic event and our team loved working with you all! A big well done and thank you to Lauren and the team who helped put the day together. We hope you enjoyed your day as much as we did and we look forward to working with you again in the near future.

I would just like to say a big thank you to all the team at Team Challenge Company for organising such a fun day for the Company. A special thanks to Gerry and Erin for making everything run so smoothly on the day. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and we have received fantastic feedback from everyone. There was a great buzz all day and it was great seeing employees from different departments all working together and having fun. The NPD session in the morning went really well and there was fantastic ideas – Lukasz is going to following up with some of the teams on their ideas! My favourite part of the day was the interactive map around the site thought that was great and everyone was engaged with it. Had a quick look at the videos and photos which are hilarious I’ll be sending the link to everyone (though I’m not sure I want everyone to see my rap of the Fresh Prince ha!) Thank you again and look forward to working with you again in the future!
