Team Challenge Company were thrilled to host our brand new 'Toy Factory' team building event for clients' of Andrew Burnet & Co at the fantastic Mercure Ardoe House Hotel in Aberdeen. This event had a special theme to it, as guests of the High Quality Salmon Industry conference, who had travelled to Aberdeen from all over the world, would be tasked with creating a vision for the future of their industry using nothing but Lego! And perhaps the most amazing part of the whole afternoon was that all Lego used, over 30,000 Lego bricks, were to be donated to leading Scottish Children's Charity - Children First.

The fun of the afternoon continued with our guests re-familiarising themselves with how to play with Lego by creating some fun, simple structures, as we prepared for the big team task of the day...using thousands of Lego pieces, could each team create a vision for the future of what the 'Farm to Plate Salmon Industry' might look like in 2030...? There would be only one way to find out...! Teams kicked off with 'Creative Packs' giving them initial Lego Inventory to start their constructions, as well as some Lego Dollars to spend with us at the Lego Store for a wonderful array of bricks and sculptures and fantastic Lego items all to be included in the construction phase!

Further Toy Factory Lego Challenges followed, including a speed race to build a Lego Vehicle as quickly as possible, where extra Lego Dollars were up for grabs! All the while, our teams were focusing on the various criteria of their build, which had to include at least 14 Lego staff members, 2 Lego Vehicles, a moving production line and even 3 Sharks! The fun was fantastic as our guests remembered their childhood in style, and the building of those famous little bricks really brought everybody in the room together in an entertaining, energetic and enlightening atmosphere. As our Toy Factory Team Building came to a climax, each team presented their amazing Lego Structures to our guest judges for the afternoon -  Stephanie, Chris and Gerry. From singing and dancing through to some pretty energetic presentations, our teams really impressed and scored some sensational points for creativity of design, quality of concept and, of course, attractiveness of Lego structures. The teams’ efforts had been amazing, and all deserved to win...but there could of course only be one champion!

Before that, we had our Wooden Spoon presentation, which went (with rapturous applause) to the SharHumans Team! Further points and final scores were read out until our top two, with the much-coveted Team Challenge Company Winner's Trophy going to the mighty Pole Position Team! The crowds cheered as they jumped to the stage, collecting their Lego Luggage tags as a fabulous memory of the afternoon, which it was clear all in attendance had thoroughly enjoyed! As the day closed, all that was left to do was thank our guests for being such great competitors, and to arrange the delivery of our 30,000 Lego Bricks to Children's First, which undoubtedly got the biggest cheer or all. It was an absolute pleasure to be involved in such a wonderful event, and to have the opportunity to donate such a fantastic gift to such an amazing and worthwhile cause, and all at Team Challenge Company truly hope that our Lego Donation is a massive hit with all the children who can now enjoy it.

We very much hope all in attendance had a fantastic afternoon of Toy Factory Team Building with us, and we look forward to seeing all again soon for the re-match...and of course, we look forward to 2030 to see if any of the 'Visions for the Future' really do come true...
